Get at least eight hours of sleep a day.
As we all may know, COVID-19 has interrupted our normal ways of living. Due to this impeccable virus, we have been ordered to stay in Quarantine. While in Quarantine, our mental states are draining because we are forced to sit and stare at our computers all day while working home. That may not be the case for everyone, but it is the case for most of us. So the question is, how do we continue to practice wellness from the comfort of our own homes? It is fairly simple. Below are 10 tips on how to practice mental health wellness while in Quarantine:
2. Eat a healthy diet. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, tuna and mackerel, cut the risk of dementia and mental decline.
3. Keep yourself active. At least 30 minutes of exercise, three times a week, is ideal.
4. Interact with others. Talk to another person for at least 10 minutes daily.
5.Pick up a new skill or hobby
6.Get a mental workout. Scrabble or Wordscapes anyone?
7.Do something for others. This is the best remedy when you’re feeling down
8.Learn to manage stress. Shift your mindset and make a list
9.Avoid alcohol, cigarettes and drugs. They are not the solutions to problems.
10.Laughter is the best medicine.
